I sometimes wonder if this is how we eventually go interstellar. We find a planet that is going to pass near our solar system that's big enough to protect us from the interstellar medium and that's going to somewhere we want to go. Then we send a big space station to orbit it. 10000 years later, humanity arrives at the destination.
